"Kirov — New Year Capital of Russia 2025" has made the shortlist for a tourism award.
The project "Kirov – New Year Capital of Russia – 2025" made the shortlist for the national expert award GOLD STARS Discovery. The shortlist includes the festive events the region prepared for the winter season, director of the Kirov Region Tourism Development Center Alexey Cheptsov reported on his VKontakte page.
GOLD STARS Discovery is a major Russian award that annually recognizes the best achievements in tourism, infrastructure, hospitality, gastronomy and cultural programs. Winners are chosen by industry experts, who evaluate projects from the previous year.
According to Cheptsov, this recognition confirms that the region is developing in the tourism sector and can compete with industry leaders. The Kirov program drew attention for the scale and quality of its New Year event preparations, Cheptsov noted. The winners will be announced on December 18 at a gala ceremony in Moscow.
