In Kirov, a 19-year-old resident of Komi who was found with 100 ecstasy pills will stand trial.
The investigative division of the Kirov Transport Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has sent a criminal case to court against a 19-year-old resident of the Komi Republic. He is accused of attempted sale of drugs in a large amount and attempted sale committed by a group of persons by prior agreement (Part 3 of Article 30, clause “g” of Part 4 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and Part 3 of Article 30, clause “a” of Part 3 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
According to investigators, in November last year transport police officers detained the young man on one of the railway stretches in Kirov. He was taken to the duty station where, during a personal search in the presence of witnesses, a polymer-wrapped bundle containing 100 tablets was found. An examination showed that the substance was ecstasy with a total weight of almost 50 grams.
Investigators established that the young man was distributing drugs in the Kirov area. He collected small wholesale consignments from caches, repackaged them and made new stashes, operating online as a “dropper.” In total, transport police found five such caches. The press service specified that experts also found 4.19 grams of hashish in them.
With the approved indictment, the case has been referred to court. Under the charged articles he faces up to 20 years’ imprisonment.
