A 55-year-old man has been detained in Kirov, accused of killing his mother. According to investigators, on the evening of November 1 a conflict occurred in one of the apartments on Koltsov Street between the son and the 79-year-old woman. During the quarrel the man struck his mother several times in the head and body with his hands and feet. She died at the scene from her injuries.
As reported by the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov Region, a criminal case has been opened. He is accused of committing the crime provided for in Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder). The accused has been detained; a court will soon decide on a preventive measure.
Investigators are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident and continue to collect evidence in the case.
