Simakov: "No one was going to block the road to the cemetery."
According to Kirov administration head Vyacheslav Simakov, soil was indeed being delivered to the cemetery for further landscaping work. However, due to the weather, heavy machinery could not access the site, so the soil was temporarily unloaded along a nearby road that goes into the forest and does not lead to residential areas.
“Delivery of soil has now been suspended until favorable weather conditions return. Then all the material will be transported to the cemetery grounds. I ask the residents of Subbotintsy to be understanding and apologize for the inconvenience caused,” Simakov added.
It should be recalled that residents of Subbotintsy complained to the People’s Front that the road to the Fedyakovsky Cemetery is being filled with soil daily. People said that trucks were bringing soil here from a construction site, which has turned the road into a muddy mess and caused the stream along the road to be filled in.
