In Kirov, they have started planting birches, willows, and apple trees.
At the intersection of Melnichnaya and Depovskaya Streets, willows and an aronia hedge have been planted. On Popov Street, by the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, apple trees have been planted, and today planting of a glossy cotoneaster hedge continues there.
In addition, birches were planted last week on Lenin Street — on the section from Azin Street to Militseyskaya Street. Specialists also filled in gaps in the cotoneaster hedge in the small park on Theatre Square.
The administration noted that planting sites are chosen taking into account residents' requests as well as the availability of free lawns that do not intersect with utility networks. Weather conditions are also taken into account — trees and shrubs must have time to take root before the onset of persistent frosts.
