In Kirov, bailiffs seized an apartment for unpaid utility bills.
As reported by the company T Plus, the man ignored all notices requiring him to repay a debt of 742,000 rubles, so the organization was forced to go to court. After the court ruling the bailiff service seized the debtor’s assets — his bank accounts and an apartment.
As specialists clarify, the apartment is not the owner’s only property, so if the debt is not repaid in the near future the apartment may be sold and the proceeds used to pay the utility debts.
As Guzel Khubeeva, the company’s director for accounts receivable, explained, asset seizure is a last resort used against non‑payers. Customers are advised to pay their utility bills on time or contact the energy company to resolve the issue and enter into an agreement for phased repayment of the debt.
The company reminded that bills can be paid and the account status checked remotely — on the T Plus website, in the mobile app, or via banks’ online services.
