      The Leninsky District Prosecutor’s Office in the city of Kirov conducted an inspection of compliance with the law on countering money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

      During the inspection it was found that the convicted man had participated in the illegal creation of a shell company and had received payment for this, while not conducting any actual business activity.

      After the verdict came into force the prosecutor filed a lawsuit seeking recovery of unjust enrichment from the man. The court found the claims to be lawful and justified.

      The enforcement of the court decision is under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office.
