The insurance coverage limit for irrevocable deposits will be increased to 2.8 million.
At the end of October a law will come into force raising the maximum amount of insurance coverage for irrevocable ruble deposits. The amount will now be 2.8 million rubles. The changes apply to deposits evidenced by irrevocable savings certificates with a term of more than three years. The new rules are aimed at increasing the reliability of savings and encouraging long-term investments. As noted in the State Duma, this decision should make irrevocable deposits a more attractive financial instrument.
