The names of the first diploma winners of Greenland's correspondence competition have been announced.

On September 1, the remote contest "Faithful Sons of the Motherland" (6+), timed to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, was launched. It has aroused great interest in the creative community. In the first month the organizing committee received about 500 applications from participants across the country. This indicates that patriotic themes and the desire to express one's feelings through creativity remain relevant and in demand.

The contest covers four key directions, each reflecting important aspects of patriotism and love for the Motherland. Participants can choose from the following themes: "This Day of Victory," "Russia Does Not Abandon Its Own," "Where the Motherland Begins," and "When You Grow Up."

One of the competition's first diploma winners was Yulia Silkina. She shared her story, noting that she wrote her first poem at the age of five. Since 2015 Yulia has been writing song lyrics and collaborating with composers. Today her songs are performed on professional stages and even in films. Her work is primarily dedicated to patriotic themes, which is especially relevant for her fellow countrymen from the Belgorod region, where people have fully experienced all the horrors of wartime. "The main thing for me is our Victory. I have faith in it and would like to convey it to all the viewers!" says Yulia.

The participants' works are judged by a competent jury, which includes Honored Artist of Russia Sergey Trofimov and the well-known poet-songwriter Alexander Shaganov. Their experience and professionalism guarantee a high level of evaluation of the submitted works. In October the jury already determined the first diploma winners, whose names can be found in the festival's official VKontakte group.

Based on the contest results, laureates in each nomination will be selected from among the diploma holders; they will receive cash prizes and a unique opportunity to perform on the Grinlandia festival glade in July 2026.

"The main mission of our contest 'Faithful Sons of the Motherland' is to make patriotism not just a word from a textbook, but a personal, deeply felt experience," says Oleg Valenchuk. "We want each participant to feel part of the great history of the country, so that their creativity becomes the voice of a new generation that remembers its heroes and glorifies their feat."

The terms and conditions for the remote contests can be found on Grinlandia's official website. Applications are accepted until March 30, 2026. By e-mail: grinlandia-kirov@mail. ru and in the VKontakte group.

The project is implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
