A man from Kirov stabbed his wife.
On the night of February 12 to 13 this year, a 45-year-old resident of Kirov and his 56-year-old wife were in one of the houses on Bauman Street in the city of Kirov. While drinking alcohol, a verbal quarrel erupted between them, during which the man stabbed the woman in the chest with a knife. As a result, she sustained an injury that caused grievous bodily harm.
A criminal case was opened against the Kirov resident. He was found guilty of the crime under subparagraph “z” of part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm using an object employed as a weapon). His involvement in the alleged act was proven by the totality of the evidence collected.
The court sentenced him to three years' imprisonment to be served in a general-regime correctional colony.
