“We are unveiling a memorial plaque for the first time and renaming a street in honor of our countryman, who heroically died during the special military operation,” noted district head Vyacheslav Bayborodov. “This commemorative marker will serve as a reminder of Alexander Yuryevich’s selflessness, courage, devotion to duty and valor.”

Colonel Vladimir Kolpashchikov expressed gratitude to the district and rural settlement leadership for preserving the memory of the soldier. He emphasized that Alexander Arkhipov was an honest and brave serviceman who fulfilled his duty with honor and gave his life for a peaceful sky and the peace of his loved ones and fellow countrymen.

Those present honored the hero’s memory with a minute of silence. To the sounds of the Russian national anthem performed by a military band, the cloth was removed from the memorial plaque, after which participants laid flowers. Relatives, comrades and teachers remembered Alexander Arkhipov as a kind, caring and always ready-to-help person.

Alexander Arkhipov was born on September 12, 1993, in the village of Buyskoye in the Urzhumsky District. After finishing school he served in the National Guard. Warrant Officer Arkhipov was killed on August 14, 2024, while carrying out tasks of the special military operation.
