There are fewer remote job vacancies in Kirov Oblast.

According to hh.ru, from January to September 2025 employers across the country posted more than 8.1 million vacancies — 12% fewer than a year earlier. However, the number of remote job offers rose by 17% and reached 745,000.

In the Volga Federal District the trend is also positive — up 7% year-on-year. In the Kirov Region, by contrast, there is a decline: 5,600 vacancies were posted compared with 5,900 a year earlier. That is 4% of all remote job offers in the district.

At the same time, the median salary for remote employees in the region increased from 45.9 to 59.6 thousand rubles.

The highest earnings among remote workers in Russia are traditionally found in IT, analytics and consulting. Top earners are data scientists (251.4 thousand rubles) and DevOps engineers (250.9 thousand rubles).

In the Kirov Region, according to hh.ru, the highest-paid remote vacancies are B2B sales manager (up to 350 thousand rubles), client account manager (up to 280 thousand), 1C programmer (from 200 thousand), as well as design engineer and hot-leads manager (from 150 thousand rubles).

“Remote employment has finally secured its place among the three key factors in choosing a job alongside income level and schedule. Although some companies are bringing employees back to offices, businesses understand: without remote work it is difficult to compete for top specialists. This is especially noticeable in IT, where the remote format has become an industry standard. Today remote work is no longer perceived as a rare option: for employers it is a tool to compete for talent, and for employees — a factor determining a company’s attractiveness,” said Maria Ignatova, director of research at hh.ru.
