      The Ministry of Health announced that the region's first occupational therapist has started working at the Medical Rehabilitation Center. The specialist began seeing patients after completing accreditation.

      The occupational therapist helps people who have suffered serious illnesses and injuries restore lost everyday skills and return to their normal lives. Sessions are held not in a typical medical office but in a specially equipped room resembling an apartment. There, patients learn to cook, eat, wash, and perform other tasks necessary for daily life.

      Family members of patients are also invited to the sessions. They are given recommendations on organizing the home environment and choosing dishes, utensils, and other items that help make life easier for people with disabilities.
