In Kirovo-Chepetsk, the results of projects from Uralchem's grant competition were evaluated.
Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Kirov Region — employees of the KChHK branch, the head of the city of Kirovo-Chepetsk and representatives of the city administration — visited several educational institutions that received support from the enterprise.
At the multidisciplinary lyceum, the "Phygital Education" project was implemented. Its essence lies in the use of digital technologies to create a new educational experience that combines physical and virtual spaces. Thanks to the grant, plasma screens, game consoles and software were purchased. Now students, after virtual battles in basketball and football, go out onto a real playing field to hone their skills.
At School No. 10, the auditorium was renovated with funds from Uralchem. The room now features a projector, new curtains and stage decorations.
At School No. 4, guests were shown the renovated home economics/technology classroom for girls. Thanks to cooperation with the enterprise, all the equipment necessary for conducting lessons in the "cooking" module was purchased. By the way, earlier grant funds had provided this classroom with electric sewing machines and an overlocker.
Sergey Zavyalov, head of the city of Kirovo-Chepetsk:
Kirovo-Chepetsk is renowned for the high level of school education, and thanks to such projects children can acquire even deeper knowledge. The ideas submitted to the grant competition cover various themes, but they are all aimed at the development of children. Without exaggeration, it can be said that Uralchem’s assistance to educational institutions is an investment in the future of our city.
Elena Perminova, deputy director for personnel and social policy at the KChHK branch of JSC OHK "Uralchem", deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Kirov Region:
The company continues its systematic work with the schools of Kirovo-Chepetsk. The grant competition is aimed at supporting and improving the quality of the educational process and at enhancing the conditions in which children learn every day. Importantly, thanks to our grants, educational institutions begin to develop their own areas of specialization and thus become de facto methodological centers. For example, the multidisciplinary lyceum we visited was the first in the city to develop phygital sports and is already holding interschool competitions.
