In Kirov, a man beat a passerby to death in a stairwell.

      A man is charged with intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm that resulted in a person’s death (Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

      According to the investigation, on the evening of August 6 the man, while drunk, entered the entrance of one of the buildings on Gorokhovsky Lane looking for a friend. Having heard from a resident that the person he was seeking did not live there, the assailant flew into a rage and punched him in the face. When the victim fell, the attacker continued to beat him with his hands and feet.

      The injured man was taken to the hospital, but he died of his injuries.

      During the investigation, the accused was remanded in custody by a court at the investigators’ request. Investigators collected conclusive evidence of his guilt, and the criminal case has been referred to court for trial.
