A state of emergency in crop production was declared in 19 municipalities.

As reported at a government meeting, in 2025 the sown area in Kirov Oblast was supposed to total 797 thousand hectares. However, it amounted to 779 thousand hectares. The reason was bad weather in April–May. In particular, this affected spring sowing.

The harvesting of cereals and grain legumes also took place under difficult weather conditions. At the end of August and the beginning of September, farmers were seriously hampered by rains and a cold snap. Precipitation was four times the norm, and the ground could not dry in time. Because of this, a state of emergency was declared in 19 municipalities. Crop quality declined, and agricultural machinery could not operate as efficiently as before.

To date, 95% of cereals and grain legumes, 88% of potatoes and 64% of vegetables have been harvested. Yields are generally decent, even higher than in previous years. However, the situation is marred by the fact that most of the grain is of low quality. Fodder has also been secured, so they will be able to get through the winter. In spring, however, farmers will face additional difficulties due to losses among winter crops.

Governor Alexander Sokolov noted that farmers' losses will be covered by insurance, so things are not as bad as they seem. As for spring, he ordered the development of support measures for agricultural producers.

How Not to Become an Autumn Leaf and Fall Psychologist Darya Tokareva explains that our condition is closely linked to biological rhythms. "The shortening of daylight is a serious stressor for the body. To restore balance, melatonin is produced, which is why you constantly feel like sleeping. At the same time, serotonin levels drop, which leads to a decline in mood and social activity," the portal karelinform.ru quotes the expert as saying. The expert emphasizes that it is important not to give in to the established "depressive" image of autumn and to engage in prevention. Here are a few simple but effective steps: More light. "Spend more time in the light or, at least, open the curtains." Movement. Even 10 squats or other light activity that you enjoy can restore energy. Socializing. Don't isolate yourself — especially if you work remotely. Aesthetics. Look for reasons in autumn to find inspiration, go for walks, and take photos. Mindfulness. "Observe what surrounds you… This is life, and it can be interesting and fulfilling." October–November — a time of increased strain Another expert notes that the rise in requests for psychological help traditionally occurs in the autumn: "October–November is the most difficult time. The sharp reduction in sunlight causes a person to start perceiving everything in pessimistic tones." According to the specialist, this state is also aided by a "cumulative effect": vacation is over, there's a lot of work, and little sun. To minimize risks, he offers similar recommendations: Get outside more often and ventilate rooms well. Move more — exercise or just walks significantly improve mood. Look for "positive surprises" — new acquaintances, events, tasty food, humor. And most importantly — remember: "You are not alone in feeling longing or boredom; everything passes, October and November will pass too, and then the New Year will be here, and warm summer will be just around the corner."
