The Kirov Blood Center is seeking female donors for the collection of anti-Rh plasma.

The Kirov Blood Center continues to collect anti‑Rh plasma — a key component required for the production of a domestic anti‑Rh immunoglobulin. This medication is vital for pregnant women who develop Rh incompatibility.

The center is inviting female donors who experienced Rh incompatibility and carried an Rh‑positive child while being Rh‑negative themselves. They have developed antibodies that allow plasma to be collected for the subsequent production of a medicine capable of saving the lives of other mothers and children.

“So far we have collected several dozen liters of anti‑Rh plasma. To supply material for manufacturing, we still need female donors willing to save the lives of others. This is a strategic task necessary for providing highly effective medical care,” said the center’s chief physician, Andrey Tarasov.

To become a donor of anti‑Rh plasma, you should contact the Kirov Blood Center at: Kirov, 74 Krasnoarmeyskaya Street. Before donation, screening is carried out for the presence of antibodies and their titer. Detailed information can be obtained by calling 25-45-00 (ext. 2).
