Kirov Region will receive almost 300 million for resettlement from dilapidated housing.
The region will receive 296.3 million rubles to resettle 259 people from 52 apartment buildings with a total area of 5,200 sq. m.
The funds are being allocated under the national project "Infrastructure for Life," said Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Territorial Development Fund Marat Khusnullin.
"The program to relocate residents from unsafe housing is intended to rid cities of housing stock unfit for further use, provide citizens with comfortable housing and accelerate the development of built-up areas. Further decisions have been approved for 23 regions. They will receive over 8.3 billion rubles to relocate 15,800 people," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
In the Kirov region the program will affect five municipalities — Kirov, Kotelnich, Slobodskoy, Murashinsky and Orichevsky districts.
As clarified by the regional Ministry of Construction, all planned measures will be included in a new phase of the program, which is being implemented with the support of the Territorial Development Fund.
Earlier the region had already completed the program to relocate residents from houses declared unsafe before January 1, 2017.
"The region has built 27 apartment buildings, 12 of them in Kirov and 15 in the districts. More than 7,000 people have been relocated from 387 unsafe houses," Governor Alexander Sokolov reminded at a meeting with the Chairman of the Fund's Board of Trustees, Sergey Stepashin.
