In Kirovo-Chepetsk, the family of a child with disabilities was paid 125 thousand.

      Recently the Kirovo-Chepetsk City Prosecutor's Office conducted an investigation following a complaint from the mother of a child with a disability. She complained about a violation of her son's right to receive rehabilitation equipment. It turned out that the woman cares for her seven-year-old son, who is entitled to special devices for his legs and arms. After applying to the regional branch of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund, the family was provided with them; however, the child's individual characteristics were not taken into account during their manufacture. Specialists did not visit the family or take measurements, which rendered the equipment unusable. The mother was forced to purchase suitable rehabilitation devices herself. The fund did not reimburse the expenses, so the prosecutor's office went to court seeking to protect the child's rights. The court fully granted the supervisory authority's claim. Compensation of 100,000 rubles was awarded in favor of the child with a disability, and 25,000 rubles to his mother. All payments have already been made.
