Kirovpaper is modernizing the wastewater treatment facilities in Murygino.
A meeting was held at the Ministry of Environmental Protection with the management of the Kirovpaper enterprise from the settlement of Murygino. The meeting discussed plans to reconstruct the wastewater treatment facilities that were built several decades ago. They have completely exhausted their service life and no longer provide the required level of treatment for industrial effluents discharged into the Medyanka River.
To address the problem, the company has begun developing a project to modernize the treatment system. Negotiations with equipment suppliers are currently underway and optimal technical solutions are being selected.
The ministry said that implementing the project will significantly reduce pollution of the Medyanka River and, at the same time, improve the condition of the Vyatka River. Kirovpaper is now preparing a roadmap with a detailed work plan.
