Was the Fankom footballer not eligible to play even in the 3rd division?

In early October the RFU Control and Disciplinary Committee upheld FC Ufa’s protest against the result of the Russian Cup match with Kirov’s Fankom.

At that time Artem Fedchuk took the field for our team, although he is banned from appearing in competitions under the RFU’s aegis because of a suspension. It has now emerged that Fedchuk could not have played in the Third League tournament either, where Fankom became the champion and won the Cup this season.

Here is what RFU General Secretary Maxim Mitrofanov said (quote from championat.com):

"The obligation to comply with the sanction lies with the player. He should have notified the club that he is not entitled to play in any competitions. Including the Third League." According to information on the website of the Golden Ring Interregional Football Federation, Fedchuk played four league matches, scoring one goal, and two Cup matches.

We have sent an inquiry to the Golden Ring Interregional Football Federation asking them to clarify the situation.
