Details have emerged about the 'first victim' of the relocation in the Novovyatsky District.

Recall that on October 11 a horrific incident occurred in Kirov: while crossing a level crossing in the Novovyatsky district a train ran over and killed a man. Local Telegram channels reported this, but there was no information from official sources.

Today, October 13, the Central Interregional Investigative Directorate for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia gave a comment to Newsler.ru about the incident, providing some details. According to them, the man was fatally struck by an electric commuter train on the Pozdino–Poloy service at 19:25. The Nizhny Novgorod investigative transport division of the Central Interregional Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia has organized a preliminary inquiry under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of safety rules for the movement and operation of railway transport).

It should be noted that at this morning’s government meeting the governor of the Kirov region was talking about how well and promptly work on constructing the tunnel in Novovyatsk is progressing. According to him, the tunnel could be delivered ahead of schedule if there are no “force majeure circumstances.” At the same time, he said nothing about the horrific incident in which a man died on the crossing that had been made for the convenience of local residents.

Recall that the crossing over the railway tracks in Novovyatsk was arranged in spring 2025 in connection with the start of construction of a tunnel under the Trans-Siberian Railway. It was done for the convenience of citizens — so they could get from one part of Novovyatsk to another.
