Over the past weekend traffic police recorded 660 traffic violations. Among them, 30 drivers were detained for driving while intoxicated or for refusing to undergo a medical examination, and 46 of the detainees either did not have driving licenses or had been deprived of the right to drive. The agency’s press service added that over the weekend there were 22 road traffic accidents in the region, in which two people died and 27 were injured. Drivers are reminded that driving while intoxicated is prohibited. This offense is punishable by deprivation of the right to drive for a period of 1.5 to 2 years and a fine of 45,000 rubles.
