Over the week, 47 fires occurred in Kirov Oblast.

      Over the week, personnel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) extinguished 47 fires in Kirov Oblast. As a result, three people died and four were injured.

      On October 9 in Kirov, on Montazhnikov Street, property in an apartment caught fire. The owner's body was found at the scene. According to preliminary information, the fire was caused by carelessness while smoking.

      On October 12 in the settlement of Chepetsky, Zuevsky District, a three-apartment residential building caught fire. In one of the apartments the fire damaged the walls and ceiling and soot-covered the belongings. The owner's body was found at the scene. The suspected cause is the same as in the first case.

      That same day in the village of Verkhosunye, Falenksy District, the fire completely destroyed the roof and an extension of a private house. The walls were also charred. According to EMERCOM, the blaze was caused by faulty electrical equipment.

      Another fire occurred in a gardening cooperative near Kirov. The dacha's floor structures, roof and walls burned. The owners suffered burns and smoke inhalation and were hospitalized. Specialists cite an electrical wiring malfunction (operating in an emergency mode) as the likely cause.
