Financial violations totaling 2.5 million were identified in the Arbazhsky district.
The Control and Accounts Chamber of the Kirov Region has completed an audit of the use of funds allocated to the Arbazh district for 2023–2025. Auditors identified financial violations amounting to 2.52 million rubles. They mainly concerned acceptance and payment for work not performed by contractors, inflated contract prices, entering into contracts without cost justification, and failure to impose fines on suppliers and contractors.
After measures taken by the Chamber, funds spent for other purposes were returned to the regional budget. Thus, the district administration returned 57.9 thousand rubles that had been spent on garbage collection sites made from substandard materials. Incidentally, the contractor rectified similar violations amounting to 54.7 thousand rubles.
Also, 46.8 thousand rubles were returned, which had been used to pay for unperformed work on the construction of a bike path in the village of Verkhotulye. A further 852.1 thousand rubles were returned to the budget after the discovery of inflated contract costs for the major renovation of the House of Culture in the village of Kormino, the roof of the House of Creativity, and the hockey rink in the settlement of Arbazh. And at the Solnyshko kindergarten the contractor finally completed the installation of a fire alarm system costing 7.2 thousand rubles.
In addition, at the Chamber’s demand the district administration imposed penalties on contractors totaling 408.8 thousand rubles. The reason was the violation of deadlines for work under five contracts.
