A wild wood pigeon "flew into" "Bolshoye Gnezdo"

      The social media page of Kirov’s Wild Animal Rehabilitation Center “Big Nest” reported that a wild wood pigeon had been brought to them for treatment.

      “If you’ve never seen a wood pigeon — a wild forest dove — here it is! Unfortunately, animals don’t come to us from a good life. The wood pigeon has a broken leg and a severe intestinal inflammation. We will treat it,” the animal volunteers said.

      Earlier, the “Nest” volunteers were trying to catch a raccoon dog. Residents of Kirov reported seeing the animal in the Druzhba area of Kirov. Sightings of the raccoon dog were reported several times, but it couldn’t be caught because the reports arrived too late: the animal had already run off to another location.

      A few days later, on October 1, the dog was trapped. Employees of an enterprise on Proizvodstvennaya Street caught the animal and locked it in a dog kennel, after which they waited for the volunteers to arrive. As noted on the rehabilitation center’s social media page, the raccoon dog puppy is very emaciated. He appears to be three months old, but he is eating eagerly.
