Road repairs in Kirov Oblast are nearing completion.
A total of 42 road facilities are being brought up to standard this year, the regional Ministry of Transport reported. The top layer of pavement has been laid on 38 of them. The total area of asphalt concrete laid exceeded 1.7 million square meters.
Among the major projects is the Vazyuk–Oparino section of the Kirov–Kotlas–Arkhangelsk route, more than 25 km long, which was under repair for two years. In 2025 work was completed on 18 km of the road; in 2024, 7.5 km of asphalt had been laid.
In addition, four sections of the Belaya Kholunitsa–Kirs road, totalling 26 km, have been brought up to standard.
As part of the program, repairs are being carried out on 11 bridges in 2025. Work on three of them has been completed, including the bridge over the Voya River in Nemsky District, where a beam had previously collapsed, and the bridge over the Poloy River in Kirovo-Chepetsky District. Repairs on the bridges over the Lyuga and Kokshaga rivers are in the final stage.
