The Prosecutor's Office of the Kirov Region identified 467 violations in the housing and utilities sector.

      Recently the Prosecutor's Office of the Kirov Region identified 467 violations in the housing and utilities sector. To address them it filed 188 representations and 39 protests, brought 62 lawsuits to the courts, and issued 16 warnings. Ninety-six officials and legal entities were held accountable.

      In the field of tariff regulation the agency identified 25 violations and filed 14 representations. This allowed tariffs to be adjusted in favor of residents by more than 226 million rubles.

      Thanks to the intervention of the prosecutor's office 60 emergencies were resolved, almost one kilometer of communications was replaced and repaired, and over 700,000 rubles were allocated for the repair of common property and networks. Recalculations of utility payments were made for more than 50,000 citizens totaling 5.4 million rubles.

      As for the debts of housing and utilities companies for supplied energy resources and fuel, following the prosecutor's office's intervention obligations totaling over 35 million rubles were fulfilled.
