In Kirov, more than 3,000 people with disabilities received assistance at the railway station.

      At Kirov railway station, more and more passengers with reduced mobility are using the Mobility Assistance Center of JSC "Russian Railways". According to the Gorky Railway, from January to August 2025 some 3,300 people received assistance there. Overall, across the entire Gorky Railway during this period nearly 20,000 passengers were assisted, 9% more than a year earlier. The largest number of requests came in Nizhny Novgorod, Kirov, Kazan and Izhevsk. It should be noted that the Center’s staff meet passengers with reduced mobility at the station, assist with ticketing, and accompany them while moving and boarding the train. If necessary, they provide wheelchairs or stretchers and also help with luggage. All services are provided free of charge. The Mobility Assistance Center operates around the clock with no days off. Requests can be submitted on the JSC "Russian Railways" website in the "Passengers with Reduced Mobility" section or by calling the hotline 8 (800) 775-00-00. This must be done no later than 24 hours before the trip.
