How peaceful life is coming to the new regions: Vyatka State University discussed the historic reunification
On 30 September, an open lecture dedicated to the Day of the Reunification of the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions with the Russian Federation was held at Vyatka State University.
The speaker was Galina Plotnikova, senior lecturer in the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law and Legal Support of the Civil Service at VyatGU, and a lecturer of the Russian Society "Znanie."
In addition to students of the largest university in the Kirov region, the event was joined by a participant in the "Vyatsky Corps of Defenders of the Fatherland" project, Nikolai Tselousov, whose mentor is VyatGU rector Valentin Pugach.
Galina Nikolaevna opened her lecture with a video address by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to the citizens dated 30 September 2022. Galina Plotnikova, together with the audience, made an excursion into the past, focusing on the dramatic events of 2014–2022. Lecture participants traced the thorny path taken by the new regions toward reunification with Russia. The speaker directed the particular attention of future lawyers to the legal purity and compliance of the decisions taken with the legislation of the Russian Federation:
"From 23 to 27 September 2022, referendums were held in four subjects of Novorossiya, during which an overwhelming majority of voters expressed support for joining our country."
On 30 September 2022, the President of Russia and representatives of the four new territories signed international treaties, formalizing the historic reunification. It should be noted that the Day of the Reunification of the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions with Russia has been included in the list of Days of Military Glory and memorable dates of the Russian Federation.
"Today we face a common goal—to extend a helping hand to the new regions, to create conditions for their swift and harmonious integration into Russia's economic, political and spiritual-cultural space," Galina Nikolaevna emphasized.
The Kirov region did not remain on the sidelines, taking patronage of four settlements with an administrative center in the urban-type settlement of Veseloe in the Zaporizhzhia region.
"Russia's task is to build state policy in such a way that the traditional values forming the foundation of our society remain inviolable," concluded Galina Plotnikova.
