      Earlier the university received a grant to implement a program under the federal project "Artificial Intelligence" of the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State." On the eve of the academic year the educational program underwent an expert review for compliance with the top level according to 58 key criteria. As a result of the expert assessment, VyatGU's program received 98.83 points out of a possible 100, confidently securing fourth place in the ranking among 72 programs submitted from across Russia. On September 3, the director of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Systems of VyatGU, Gennady Chistyakov, and the head of the educational program, Maria Dolzhhenkova, together with a representative of ELMA, the university's anchor industry partner, presented the educational program to the Expert Council. "We are sincerely glad that our Data Science (DS)-level training program, focused on the roles of AI project manager and ML engineer, received the approval of the Expert Council's working group. The experts provided very valuable comments that we will try to take into account in our further work. VyatGU strives to create the most comfortable learning conditions, constantly improving the program in accordance with the requests of potential employers," emphasized Gennady Andreevich. This year, 168 students were admitted to the degree program 09.03.01 Informatics and Computer Engineering — Software and Hardware Solutions for Artificial Intelligence Systems at VyatGU. Despite the fact that the academic year has only just begun, future top specialists are actively immersing themselves in mastering IT competencies. Ahead are four years of intensive training aimed at gaining practical experience through solving product-oriented IT business tasks, studying case studies and industry experience, participating in project teams and master classes, and completing practice and internships in leading IT companies. VyatGU launched the educational campaign "Share Your Knowledge." The "Vestnik of Humanitarian Education" of Vyatka State University was included in the "White List" of scientific journals. VyatGU professor Tamara Ashikhmina was awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland."
