At the same time, consumer prices for chicken meat rose by only 0.4% over the same period — to 228.5 rubles per kilogram, Lenta.ru reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture. The ministry noted that year-on-year the increase in poultry meat prices was below the inflation rate: producers +6.8%, retail +4.9%.
The Ministry of Agriculture emphasized that positive dynamics in poultry production continue in 2025 — 3.96 million tonnes live weight were produced in January–July (+3.3% compared to the same period in 2024). Preferential loans and reimbursements for the costs of constructing breeder facilities remain in place to support the industry. The ministry also reported that no cases of avian influenza have been recorded at Russian enterprises so far this year.
