On July 25, 2025, a 60-year-old driver employed by an individual entrepreneur died after a log fell on him while loading timber. The man was taken to a hospital, but could not be saved.
The State Labor Inspectorate found that the cause of the incident was gross violations of safety regulations: work was carried out in breach of the technological process, there was no proper control over compliance with occupational safety requirements, and the enterprise’s safety management system was not functioning properly.
In addition, the inspection revealed that the occupational safety instructions did not comply with standards, that procedures for medical examinations were violated, and that the worker was not fully provided with personal protective equipment.
The individual entrepreneur was held administratively liable under Article 5.27.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation.
