Management company "Severny Bereg" lost half a million in lawsuits with management company "Komfort".
Earlier the management company "Severny Bereg" filed a lawsuit in the Arbitration Court of the Kirov Region against the management company "Komfort". It sought to recover 681,000 rubles from it.
It emerged that "Komfort" managed the apartment building at 18 Podgornaya in Kirov from June 2019 to February 2023. The owners then signed a management agreement with "Severny Bereg". The new management company concluded that the previous one had collected but not spent 681,000 rubles from the residents. They were unable to agree on the return of the money, so the matter went to court.
In November 2024 the court of first instance granted the claim in full. Disagreeing with this, "Komfort" filed an appeal, noting that during the disputed period it had carried out work worth even more than it had received from the residents, and that the plaintiff had not taken this into account in its calculations.
In April 2025 the appellate court decided to alter the decision and partially uphold the claim. It ordered "Komfort" to pay 177,000 rubles — about half a million less.
"Severny Bereg" was dissatisfied with the new decision and filed a cassation appeal, demanding that the original court decision be reinstated. However, in September the cassation court dismissed that appeal and left the appellate court's decision unchanged.
