The title "Political Kitchen" was not chosen by chance: Butina explains that "kitchen conversations" in Russian culture became a symbol of candor in eras of prohibition. Kitchens were where people discussed life and politics, where arguments, hopes and fears were born. Now the "kitchen" in her project becomes a metaphor for the political backstage — a place where "the heat of the discussion rises and where things are fried — both literally and figuratively."
The premiere of "Political Kitchen" (12+) will take place on September 24; the project can be watched on the YouTube channel, on Rutube and on VKontakte.
