Since the beginning of September, a liter of gasoline has risen by 60 kopecks.

Motorists who came to refuel their cars today, September 23, saw a new price tag. A liter of AI-95 "Euro" gasoline now costs 63 rubles 72 kopecks. Since the beginning of September this is already the third fuel price increase at Kirov gas stations. In total, from September 11 to 23 the price of a liter of 95 gasoline has gone up by 60 kopecks.

It should be noted that the previous price increase occurred on September 17. Then a liter of AI-95 "Euro" rose by 15 kopecks and was sold at 63 rubles 42 kopecks per liter.

Meanwhile, Mr. Sokolov, who as early as 2023 promised Kirov residents to "deal with" the regular and almost weekly rise in fuel prices, and also said that gas stations from neighboring Tatarstan — "Tatneft" — would "enter" the Kirov region to create competition and, if not lower prices, then prevent weekly increases, has likely lost interest in the "fuel issue." In 2024 the regional government reported that plots of land had allegedly been allocated to Tatneft for the construction of gas stations in Kirov and the surrounding region. However, since then neither the governor nor the regional government have raised or announced the matter. At the moment there is no information about the widely and enthusiastically promoted "entry" of Tatneft into our region by Mr. Sokolov.
