An increase in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) has been recorded in Kirov Oblast.

      Incidence has exceeded the weekly epidemic threshold. Experts attribute this to the start of the school year and people returning from vacations. According to monitoring data, viruses of non-influenza etiology are circulating in the region.

      The Rospotrebnadzor authority recommends that residents, if symptoms of illness appear, stay at home, seek medical care and follow hygiene rules — regularly wash their hands or use hand sanitizer.

      The influenza vaccination campaign continues in the region. According to the agency, more than 125,000 people have been vaccinated, including over 60,000 children.

      Vaccinations are available at local medical facilities and at mobile vaccination points. They operate:

      at Theater Square — daily (weekdays from 8:00 to 17:00, weekends from 8:00 to 15:00);

      at the Veterans’ Club (3a Ekaterina Kochkina Street) — on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 to 13:00;

      at TSUM (77 Vorovskogo Street) — daily from 10:00 to 15:00 until October 5.
