On September 21 a series of events took place in Kirov to mark the city's 651st anniversary. The main event was held on Theatre Square.
During the celebrations awards were presented to distinguished residents of Kirov. Governor Alexander Sokolov presented them with state awards, honorary certificates and letters of appreciation, praising their skill, professionalism and conscientious work. The head of Kirov, Elena Kovaleva, and the head of the administration, Vyacheslav Simakov, presented Kirov residents with honorary badges and congratulatory addresses.
The guests at the event, of which there were not very many, paid particular attention to the orchestra and the choir — they made a strong impression. You can see how all this and much more unfolded in our photo report.
