Doctors at the regional hospital removed a giant neck tumor.
At the Kirov Regional Clinical Hospital, a unique operation was performed. Surgeons removed a lipoma from the back of a patient's neck that had grown to gigantic proportions over the years. The man sought help only after the mass became comparable in size to his head. The tumor had developed for more than 16 years and reached the volume of a three-liter jar. The operation required extreme precision due to the proximity of major blood vessels and nerves. Doctors noted that such a large growth was the largest ever removed in the history of the surgical department.
