In Podosinovsky District, a Labrador bit a woman and killed her dog.
On September 15, 2025, the Rosselkhoznadzor office for the Kirov Region, the Udmurt Republic and Perm Krai issued a warning to a resident of Podosinovsky District. The reason was a violation of veterinary requirements following an attack by his Labrador.
According to the agency’s materials, on August 18, 2025 the Kirov Region veterinary department received information that in Severodvinsk a 45-year-old woman had been bitten and her spitz dog had died. The incident occurred in July 2025.
According to the state veterinary service, the Labrador was brought to a veterinarian late — more than 12 hours after the attack. The animal did not undergo a timely clinical examination, quarantine observation, or rabies vaccination, which created a threat to the lives and health of people.
Rosselkhoznadzor stressed that such violations breach the Veterinary Rules aimed at preventing the spread of rabies. It should be recalled that rabies is a deadly viral disease that can affect all mammals, including humans. The animal’s owner bears administrative or criminal liability in the event of causing serious harm to health or death.
