Rakhim Azimov: the State Duma's priorities are passing the budget, supporting participants in the special military operation, and working with the regions.
Member of the State Duma, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Security and Anti‑Corruption Rakhim Azimov spoke about the key areas of work:
“The priorities in our work for the autumn session were set out at the first plenary meeting and at the meeting of United Russia faction deputies with the party chairman Dmitry Medvedev. Among the key tasks is work on the federal budget for 2026–2028 while preserving all social commitments and financing the People's Program of the United Russia party. The most important direction remains support for participants in the special military operation and their families: today 27 bills aimed at expanding social protection measures are under consideration, and previously 139 related laws have already been adopted.
We will continue work on other important areas — healthcare, demography, the development of rural areas, protecting citizens from fraud and ensuring consumer rights. It is extremely important to maintain constant interaction with the regions and communication with citizens, because it is they who set the main guidelines for deputies' activities,” the parliamentarian emphasized.
The Committee on Security and Anti‑Corruption held its first meeting of the autumn session. Rakhim Azimov noted:
“As the first deputy chairman of the committee I can say that my colleagues and I have already begun work on 50 bills. They cover issues of defense, law and order, as well as social support for servicemembers, their families and law enforcement officers.”
