Vyatka judoka Anton Syuzev won bronze at the Russian Cup.

This achievement is the result of Anton’s hard training and determination, as well as the competent guidance of his coach — Honored Coach of Russia Igor Glubokovsky. Anton and Igor Yuryevich were congratulated on the bronze medal and on the awarding of the title Master of Sport of Russia by the president of the Judo Federation of the Kirov Region, State Duma deputy Oleg Valenchuk.

“This medal is not simply an award for sporting achievements. It is a symbol of perseverance, willpower and dedication to one’s craft,” Oleg Valenchuk said. “You are a striking role model, and your success is recognized by the entire sporting community. I wish you further victories and new sporting accomplishments!”

The road to the podium was not easy. Anton Syuzev demonstrated impressive technique and endurance, losing only one match. His opponent in the fight for a place in the final was Zaur Bedonokov from the Republic of Adygea — a two-time Deaflympics champion (Bulgaria, 2013 and Turkey, 2017). Anton fought on equal terms with one of the country’s strongest athletes. The bout ended with a minimal advantage for Bedonokov, 0–0 on points and 2–3 on shido. The difference of just one shido (penalty) showed an equal level of rivalry in the match.
