In Kirov, a four-year-old boy sustained injuries after falling out of a window.

      On September 12, Police Department No. 1 of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Kirov received a report that a 4-year-old boy who had been injured after falling from an apartment window had been taken to the Center for Traumatology, Orthopedics and Neurosurgery. It was established that in the evening the child was at home with his mother. While she went to the kitchen, the boy pushed a chair up to the window, climbed onto it and leaned against the window screen. It did not bear his weight, and the boy fell out of a first-floor window. The child sustained injuries of varying severity. Officers of Police Department No. 1 are currently conducting an investigation. The police strongly urge citizens not to leave children unattended. They also advise against showing children how to open windows and against placing furniture near window openings that a child could climb onto the windowsill.
