Residents of the Shabalinsky and Svechinsky districts will be screened for cancer.
On Saturday, October 4, at the outpatient clinic of the Shabalinsky Central District Hospital, doctors from Kirov will run the "ONCOpost" campaign. From 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., anyone aged 18 and over will be able to undergo free examinations by specialists.
The main goal of the campaign is early detection of cancer and informing residents about risk factors. Consultations will be carried out by oncologists of various profiles: dermatologists, mammologists, urologists, gynecologists, ENT specialists and a coloproctologist. Women over 40 will be offered mammography, and ultrasounds will be performed when indicated. Organizers expect to see 300–400 people.
In addition, as part of the campaign it will be possible to take rapid tests for cholesterol and glucose, have basic health indicators measured, and dentists will check the oral mucosa for precancerous changes. Medical volunteers will give lectures on cancer prevention and teach breast self-examination techniques.
Residents of the Shabalinsky and Svechinsky districts will be able to undergo examinations. Transportation will be arranged for those who wish.
