In the Lebyazhsky District, a driver was convicted of repeated drunk driving and had his car confiscated.

      The Lebyazhsky District prosecutor’s office supported the indictment in a criminal case against a 44-year-old local resident. The man was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person previously held administratively liable for a similar offense. The court found that on April 6, 2025 the man, while intoxicated, was driving a Renault Logan along Petra Kazantsev Street in the urban-type settlement of Lebyazhye until he was stopped by traffic police. He had previously been held administratively liable for drunk driving, when he was fined 30,000 rubles and disqualified from driving for one and a half years. This time the court imposed a harsher punishment: a fine of 200,000 rubles and disqualification from driving for one year. At the public prosecutor’s request, the offender’s vehicle was confiscated in favor of the state.
