The State Duma announced the dates for pension indexation in 2026.
The head of the State Duma committee on labor, social policy and veterans’ affairs, Yaroslav Nilov, said that the February indexation will be carried out at the level of actual inflation, which will be determined in January, Gazeta.ru reports. In April pensions will be adjusted again — depending on the Social Fund’s budgetary capacity — and this indexation will exceed inflation.
Nilov stressed that the increase will also apply to working pensioners. In addition, social pensions will be indexed from April 1.
Earlier it was reported that in October 2025 payments to Russians over 80 receiving an old-age insurance pension will be increased.
