Today, September 5, City Manager Vyacheslav Simakov took part in greening the small park near Lepse Square. The plants — more than 1,200 of them — were provided by an investor. Simakov noted that such a partnership with business is a major step in the development of the urban environment.
The head of the city administration also said that for several years public spaces in Kirov have been improved through federal programs. Pedestrian paths were laid in the park by Lepse Square, but residents requested additional greening. "Thanks to the commercial organization, the area is now adorned with flowers, ornamental shrubs and trees," Vyacheslav Simakov said.
The investor also donated professional equipment to the city's landscaping department for maintaining the green areas.
