A legal entity was fined for "stripping" the fertile topsoil.

In early August, the Department of Rosselkhoznadzor for the Kirov Region conducted an unscheduled on-site inspection of LLC "Yaransky Hunter", which is the owner of eight agricultural land plots with a total area of 1,073.2436 hectares located near the village of Lom in Yaransky District.

During a visual inspection it was determined that the legal entity had allowed all eight land plots to become overgrown with weedy and woody-shrub vegetation, and had also unlawfully removed and relocated the top fertile layer of soil over an area of 830 sq. m. Inspectors also counted 539 backfilled pits where trees had been excavated with their root balls.

It was also established that the owner of the land plots failed to carry out mandatory land protection measures. Protocols for administrative offenses were drawn up against the legal entity under Part 2 of Article 8.7 and Part 1 of Article 8.6 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.

At the end of August the legal entity was found guilty of the offenses and was fined 200,000 rubles. Yesterday, September 4, the Department received information that the legal entity had paid the fine with a 50% discount in the amount of 100,000 rubles.
