Kirov will mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.

In Kirov on September 3 ceremonial events will be held to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. This date is considered a "second Victory Day," since it was in September 1945 that the war with Japan ended.

At 9:00 regional and city leaders, veterans, representatives of law enforcement agencies and public organizations will lay flowers at the Eternal Flame on the Grin Embankment. In connection with the ceremony, from 7:30 until the end of the event traffic will be restricted on Moskovskaya Street (from Kazanskaya Street to Grin Embankment), as well as on the section of Dinamovsky Proezd between buildings No. 10 and 18.

At 10:00 a rally titled "The Last Salvos of World War II" will take place on the square by the Russia Palace of Culture in Novovyatsk. Participants will observe nearly a one-minute silence in memory of the fallen and will lay flowers at the monument to Novovyatsk’s warriors.

Another event is scheduled for 12:00 in the Remembrance Square in the Raduzhny neighborhood. A rally titled "We Will Always Remember You" will be held there, during which veterans, schoolchildren and residents will lay flowers at the "Book of Memory" memorial.
