A man from Kirov will spend 12 years behind bars for killing his friend.
On the night of December 31, in one of the rooms of a communal apartment on Gorokhovsky Lane in the city of Kirov, a 64-year-old man and his acquaintance were drinking alcohol. During the gathering a conflict broke out between them, and the 64-year-old Kirov resident inflicted three stab wounds on his friend in the chest and abdomen. The latter died at the scene from his injuries. A criminal case was opened against the perpetrator. The investigation gathered exhaustive evidence implicating the defendant in the commission of the offense with which he was charged. He was found guilty of the crime under part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder). The court sentenced the man to 12 years' imprisonment in a special-regime correctional colony.
